Discussion Questions for My Why Week 6

1. Read Matthew 4:1-11

2. What comes to your mind when you read this? How does this play out in your mind?

3. Read Deuteronomy 6:13

4. These two verses in tandem with each other are concerned with the idea of idolatry; worshiping only God. What does serving God look like to you? If someone were to tell you that they are serving God, what would you think that they are doing?

5. Do you consider serving God to be something that is important to you?
   Why or why not? 

6. Read Hebrews 9:14

7. Does this verse seem to show that serving God is done so through Jesus’ sacrifice? Is it possible to serve God aside from Jesus?

8. What is something that you can do this week to intentionally serve God? Will this involve serving other people? How can your small group help you and hold you accountable for that?
