Week 3 Discussion Questions
 

1. Jon spoke about how the pre-frontal cortex doesn’t reach full development until age 25. This region of the brain is used for complex cognitive behavior, decision making, and moderating social behavior. Looking back at your life, what is one short story where you can see in your early 20’s you did something without considering social behavior, or you made poor decisions, etc?

2. Read 1 Peter 4:8

3. How does this verse relate to you and young adults?

4. Is there a young adult in your life that you personally know and can pour into?

5. Read Titus 2:6

6. In the NIV translation where it says, “young men” the original word simply means “youth” it’s in a masculine sense and for the culture that Paul was writing to, and to whom this letter is written it’s an accurate translation. But, if it were written today, do you think it would be more inclusive? Why or why not?

7. Do you think that God mandates you personally to invest in young adults? Why or why not?

8. Pray together for the young adults that you will be investing in and pouring into.
