1. Does the song "Eye of the Tiger" or "We Are the Champions", bring you to a time and place? If so Explain.

2. Have you ever been so happy that an obstacle in your life was defeated that you wanted to shout it from the rooftops? Explain

3. Read Psalm 18:1-3  What stands out to you in the opening of this song? Why?

4. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Which of these titles for God do you identify with? Why?
 

5. Read Psalm 18:4-15. What verse stands out to you in these lyrics? Why?

6. Do you feel that God has ever saved you from death? Explain

7. Why do you think that David used storms, earthquakes, and volcanos to describe God's power?

8. Read Psalm 18:20-24. Do believe that God deals with people according to their righteousness? Explain

9. David claims that he is blameless before God? Why is it that he can claim that?

10. How hard is it to keep ourselves from our guilt? What makes that possible?

Read Psalm 18:49-50

11. David ends the Psalm with more praise and thanksgiving. Do you think these last couple verses point toward the coming of a Messiah? Why or Why not?

12. Jon stated that Jesus is the ultimate rescuer? How is He the ultimate rescuer?
