Sometimes it seems God drops someone into our lives at just the right time. The defining moments and seasons of our lives usually revolve around those providential relationships.
 

1. Can you think of someone God providentially brought into your life at just the right time? Who were they and which of these did they provide for you: insight, encouragement, perspective, hope?
 

2. Initially, did you resist their input? Why?
 

3. You may be hesitant to acknowledge it, but have you played that role in someone else's life? Did you hesitate initially? If so, why?
 

4. Are the people whose stories shaped and strengthened your faith aware of the role they played in your life? Have you told them? Would you?
 

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. —Hebrews 10:23–24
